The hood detaches; just unzip it from the vest. The pockets are fleece lined and zip closed. The battery has its own pocket so its not crowding the hand pockets. The zippers are sturdy. The sizing is spot on. The exterior pattern is a slight cheveron shape pointing down rather than in horizontal strips is very flattering. And its so comfortable to wear!I also love that the battery tells what percentage is left. The button on the front of the vest changes colors according to the level of heat making it easy to know if your on low, medium or high. The battery pack does sit on the back of the left hip and I told it does bulge. I guess thats the only drawback to the vest if you see it that way but I dont find it bothersome at all.Sarah JacksonS.
